I was looking through some photos a friend had taken and I was shocked. Is that me? I hadn’t realised how much weight I had put on.

2004 was a big year for me, I got married and was managing a very busy salon in Brisbane which was very stressful and as a result I got sick and ended up with chronic fatigue syndrome.

I had always been healthy but struggled with my weight my whole life and being sick made it so much worse. I went from being very active to nothing. I had no energy.

We moved to Townsville mid 2004 hoping for a more relaxed lifestyle so I could recover. But after seeing those photos that December I weighed myself and discovered that I had put on 15kgs since my wedding. I had to do something about it!!

I had seen a TV add for SureSlim and like the idea of the medical approach, so I joined and I finally found something that really worked.

Seeing the kilos come off was great, but what was really fantastic was the way I started to feel!! I had so much more energy, more confidence and I am now defi nitely feeling more balanced.

For as long as I can remember I was a size 16 plus (if I was lucky I could squeeze into a 14. When I started my SureSlim program I was a size 16 and now I am a size 10 – and proud of it. After losing 30kilos, clothes’s shopping doesn’t depress me anymore. I love being able to walk into a shop and fi t into anything! I’m now fi t and healthy and have so much more energy which I can put into doing the things I love. My hubby was very supportive and is now teaching me to water ski which is something I never thought I would be able to do – and I don’t even mind wearing swimmers in public? Now that I have more energy I have started working more and I am now a consultant at SureSlim (which I love). Helping others to lead healthy lives!!
