Being overweight has traditionally been blamed on eating too much food, eating the wrong kind of food and not exercising enough.

But medical professionals are learning that many people may not be to blame for being overweight. In fact no matter how hard some people try, they will NOT be able to lose weight. These people may have what is known as Metabolic Syndrome.

Do you have Metabolic Syndrome? It is very easy to find out. Take a tape measure and if you are a woman and your waist is greater than 80 centimetres, or a man 94 centimetres, then you may well have Metabolic Syndrome.

Those with Metabolic Syndrome tend also to have low levels of Serotonin which makes your body crave for sugary things to increase its levels. The result is greater Insulin Resistance (that is, an impaired ability of the body's insulin to handle blood glucose) and even more weight gain! The good news is that the SureSlim programs helps metabolic syndrome. As you begin to lose weight the other symptoms such as High blood pressure; Low blood levels of the 'good' cholesterol, HDL; High blood levels of the 'bad' cholesterol, LDL; High blood levels of triglycerides; and Insulin resistance will also improve.
