How much would i lose in a month
Safe weight loss has been defined as under 1kg per week (Refer to Code 22.3a of the Weight Management Industry Code of Practice - http://www.weightcouncil.org). SureSlim clients regularly surpass this safely, so you are realistically looking at up to 5-7kgs per month (depending on your body type).
Yes, we are working through the final details on program costing, including a payment plan. For example a 12 week program can be paid upfront with a discount, or divided into three monthly payments, one at the beginning of each month.

Yes, you will have as much face to face contact as is required for you to hit your weight loss goals. We are managing this via video chat on your personal members page. And before you ask, it is not required that you have a webcam, you will still be able to see your consultant without one. There is also live chat support and an internal messaging system too.

I have 3 questions. Despite protestations from home-ec teachers, weight watchers gurus, drs, and dietitians throughout my life, I gain weight when I follow the basic nutritional pyramid. I need to lose about 60kgs and want to do it as fast as possible, but with an emphasis on superfoods and (mostly oily fish) protein and nearly no emphasis on grains. I also suffer with an auto immune disease which means limited starchy veg, and no nightshades, sugar, and very limited dairy. It doesn't sound too bad until you try to turn it into a reality, then it becomes a real challenge. One I have failed miserably at. So my questions are: 1. Just how "outside of the nutritional pyramid" are your people willing to think? and 2. What is the average daily calorie intake of the 12 month programme? 3. Do your programme creators (nutritionists?) favour low fat or as-close-to-natural-minimally-processed whole-foods?
SureSlim disregarded the 'traditional' food pyramid a long time ago. Our program fits into your particular set of issues and the removal of the night shades is not a problem. Your dairy will be naturally limited as we do not put emphasis on dairy for calcium needs but rather on green leafies which are abundant in a much more useable form of calcium. The average calories of the 12 month program would start at aroun 1600 - 1500 calories and gradually go down to about 1300 - 1200 calories inclusive as your weight starts to drop. However, our program is not calorie based but rather low GI.
We only favour whole foods. The worst ingredient on our program would be the crackers and crispbreads and they are optional. In fact if you wants no wheat we can replace it with something more nutritious that grows in the ground. Also, we can continue to tailor your program as your journey progresses to ensure you are getting exactly what your body needs.

I am at the upper end of the 'healthy weight range' for my height, but I have a lot of excess body fat. Can the program bring me down to the lower end of my healthy weight range and reduce all the unwanted fat?
One of our new owners has just finished his 12 week program. He started with the intention of losing about 5 kilos which is all he thought he had to lose. He lost just over 17 kilos, has less than 9% body fat and now has a six pack. So the answer to your question is yes, you will lose your unwanted body fat.

Hey Kristin, your program will differ from your husband due unless you have the exact same blood results, medical conditions, medications, food likes and dislikes, and you are the exact same height and weight. :)
There will be some commonalilties in your food selections as we use a core selection of low GI carbohydrates and lean proteins, so there may be meals that will work for both of you. This is impossible to say though until you get your program.

Hey Veg, thanks for your question and Congratulations on your approaching wedding. There is less than 12 weeks before you wedding, so you cannot possibly lose 35 kilos before then. Our Quickloss program is 12 weeks and you can lose up to 20 kilos in that time (safely).
The blood test is included in the cost. Unfortunately it is against the law for us to use blood results that are not commercial in nature (i.e. medicare funded), so it is not an option.

Hi can you explain why there are only 3 meals, 5 hours apart when most weight loss programs recommend 6, three meals and 3 snacks to keep your metabolism working?

- 2. You will view a quick presso of what is required of you for the program to work
- 3. You will complete the enrolment form – some people are refused here (insuitability).
- 4. You will receive a pathology request form and will take to your nearest lab for blood test
- 5. Our doctor reviews your blood results and your program is created
- 6. You get access to your own personal member’s page with all the goodies and set it up with a bunch of instructional videos and presentations.
- 7. You are shown through your program and what you need to do to get to your goal weight
- 8. Weekly you will attend a strict online consultation with a strong educational component
You repeat this weekly process until you hit your goal weight. The tools in the members site make this whole process easier and more fulfilling and there is plenty of direct consultant support via chat and video.

I've been diagnosed with underactive thyroid. Have you previously seen other clients with this condition and what were the results? The weight gain and the exhaustion are making it hard to stay on track.

It is our policy that a program cannot be created for pathology that is over 12 months old. I was on your programme for a little while in 2009 before you closed down. I was visiting your clinic in Burwood and when I went for my next appt without no warning it had been shut down? I had rung your number numerous times and when I went on to the site on the next it had said that it had closed down. I was disappointed as I only visited a few times. please explain??

How do you arrange the blood tests if a clinic is not available in your state?
Great question Sharon, we use external, recognised, national pathology labs with convenient locations across Australia. During your program enrolment you will receive a downloadable pathology referral form to take along to one of these locations, the cost of of which is covered in your program. The results are then automatically sent directly to us to create your weight loss program with.

hi, I did sureslim a bit over 2 years ago and had to stop because of my pregnancy. Do I need to pay the whole 900 again or can I just restart what i paid for last time?
Hi Melody, as you know from your initial program, in order to issue a program our Doctor screens you via a SureSlim specific blood test. The validity of the blood results are good for only a 12 month period, as with most Doctors they will ask for a new pathology after 12 months. So in answer to your question, yes you will need a new blood test and a new program based on your body at this very point in time. It would be careless and irresponsible of SureSlim to approve any program for you other than one designed for your body right now.

Unless you are the exact same weight and measurements, and have the same metabolic readings (which are identified via SureSlim's blood test) as you were at the time your previous program was created, it is unsafe to do the previous program. Nicki, we simply cannot in good conscience approve that, nor support it. Melody, this brings me to your question of support. There have been a lot of people who have said (through the survey and direct questions) that accountability and motivation are very important to them in reaching their weight loss goals. We have listened and have created a strong online consultation process that holds you accountable and helps you make and hit achievable goals each week. There is also a strong and ongoing motivational aspect to the online program too, but you will have to wait and see for that one. To put it simply, we know that without ongoing support and motivation, it can be quite hard to lose weight. We think that we have the perfect tool (or at least the best one right now) to help you overcome these, and do just that!
Hello, I joined sureslim and was given a programme a few years ago which i have lost along with recipes. Could I pay for this to be re-printed please?....
Unfortunately due to our program being medically supervised, it is our policy NOT to reissue a program after more than a year. There are so many variables that can and do change in your body and these effect what our doctor and consultants set as your program. We would be risking your health and our opening the door to legal issues by doing so. It is best for you to start a new program with a new blood test as the basis.
Do I have to exercise with my program?
Hi Uma, although we do recommend daily movement on the SureSlim program for all of our clients it is not necessary to lose weight when you follow our program. In the Quick Loss phase you will only be consuming low GI foods and will find losing weight effortless. We have wheel chair bound clients who have been amongst our success stories and have reached their goal weights even though they have not been able to perform any form of exercise or movement. However, we find once you start to shed the kilos and experience an increase in energy most of our clients will want to exercise and play sport.
I live in a remote rural area. Will I be able to do the online programme?
Absolutely! One of the main reasons we are creating our online clinic is to be able to help people just like you. All you need is an internet connection and 15 minutes or so each week (at a time that is convenient for you).
I am very interested in your program but money is an object, roughly how much would i be looking at to join your program? Approximate cost is okay
Hi Melissa, thanks for your question. It really depends on how much weight you have to lose. We are developing a new cost model to coincide with our new online program, which gives you the option to spread payments over the course of your program. Pricing has not been finalised yet though, but as an idea, until recently you could get a basic SureSlim quick loss program (to lose up to 10) for $880.

There is a list of the suburbs where our clinics are currently open on the bottom of the clinics page. Caringbah is one of them. It is on the Kingsway.

Do you help for people with intolerance( not allergy) to wheat?
Yes we certainly can help people with wheat intolerance. Whilst in the Quick Loss phase of our program we would recommend no wheat products such as bread and crispbreads. We would supplement your program with a starchy, nutritious vegetable such as orange sweet potato.

SureSlim is covered by all major Health Funds but you will need to speak to your health fund to find out your rebate
No, SureSlim programs contain freely available, healthy food that you buy from the green grocer. It is food the whole family can eat.
Again, NO, SureSlim is NOT A SHAKE. There are Shake diets out though, but we are not one of those.
SureSlim is a personal weight loss program. The foods that you will eat on your program are all wholefoods that you will buy from your greengrocer and supermarket. No potions, No pills, or Shakes at SureSlim.
